Abstract : Economic and production losses in all stages of postharvest processing from threshing to marketing are identified and technological solutions provided. Postharvest processing technology is evaluated for 3 products: rice, mango fruits and wool. Two more processes are considered in greater depth, pigeon pea milling and oilseed extraction and storage. Annotated diagrams of simple machinery and production flow charts are given.
