Vibratory mango harvesting - fruit-stem dynamics.

Abstract : A double-physical pendulum type model was used to determine the natural frequencies of the mango fruit-stem system during vibratory harvesting. Experiments were conducted to obtain the maximum acceleration experienced by the fruit. Predicted maximum acceleration was in good agreement with the observed data. The 2 natural frequencies of the system corresponding to the maximum acceleration were obtained.
