Nutritional diagnosis of mango in San Blas, Nayarit.

Abstract : Fifty mango orchards (cultivars Haden and Tommy Atkins) were sampled in 4 regions of San Blas (Jalcocotán, Mecatán, Navarrete and Las Palmas). Foliar concentrations of N, P, K, Ca and Mg were analysed. No differences were detected between growing regions or cultivar. The nutritional status of irrigated orchards was not better than that of rainfed orchards. Overall, the trees had normal concentrations of N, high levels of Mg, and below normal concentrations of P, K and Ca.
