Abstract : Production and quality of 9 mango cultivars were studied during 1980-89 at I.G.K.V. Fruit Research Station, Bilaspur. High fruit yields were recorded in Langra Banarsi, Langra Rewa, Dashehari and Alphonso (132.11, 122.27, 109.08 and 105.98 kg/plant, respectively). Malda produced the heaviest fruits (370 g); Gajarya produced the lightest fruits (165 g). Malda, Langra (Banarsi, Rewa, Govindgarh) and Alphonso had more pulp (>70%) than other cultivars. Good TSS values (18-22%) were recorded in all cultivars except Malda. It is concluded that Dashehari, Langra (all), Sunderja and Alphonso are suitable for commercial cultivation in eastern Madhya Pradesh.
