Abstract : In a study with 7-year-old mango trees, pollen from cultivars Vanraj and Langra was used to pollinate emasculated flowers of cv. Kesar, while pollen from cultivars Kesar, Alphonso and Langra was used to pollinate flowers of cv. Vanraj. Pollination of Kesar by Vanraj increased fruit weight and TSS and acid content but decreased stone weight; fruit colour was also improved. Fruit quality of Vanraj was best when pollinated by Kesar.
