Abstract : A study with the stated aims of identifying all species of insects living on cultivated fruit trees in northern Côte d'Ivoire and determining the distributions of each of these species on the main fruit trees cropped in the region, is reported at an interim stage. Heteroptera were the most numerous insects found, followed by Coleoptera, Diptera and Hymenoptera. Mangoes and Citrus had larger numbers of species than guava, papaya [pawpaw] or cashew.
