Abstract : Experiments on the susceptibility of the mango pest Eriophyes mangiferae [Aceria mangiferae] to various commonly used pesticides and plant hormones were conducted in laboratory and field conditions in India. In the laboratory, dinocap 0.05% was the most effective treatment followed by dicofol 0.05% and suflex 0.2% in reducing mite populations while in the field sulfex [sulfur], dicofol and dinocap showed similar results. In the field trial where pesticides and plant hormones were applied, miraculan 200 p.p.m. [of unstated composition] gave the best results followed by planofix 200 p.p.m. [NAA] in increasing the growth parameters of the plant.
