Abstract : Verticillium lecanii was found for the first time infecting the mango pests Idioscopus nitidulus and I. nagpurensis in Karnataka, India, in October-December 1991. The maximum number of dead leafhoppers was recorded on the base of the shoots and the minimum number on the leaves. Most of the infected insects were I. nitidulus, which was the dominant species.
