Abstract : In field tests in Maharashtra, India, in 1969-72 for the control of Idioscopus clypealis (Leth.) on mango, 0.03% dimethoate, 0.03% fenitrothion, 0.1% of a mixture of carbaryl and sulphur (1:1) or 0.2% of a mixture of DDT and sulphur were applied four times at intervals of 21 days, starting from pre-flowering. The reduction in the numbers of nymphs in a period of 48 h from application averaged 75.08, 72.50, 77.91 and 66.05%, respectively, as compared with 0 for no treatment.
