Abstract : Nine mango cultivars of small to medium size growing in an orchard at Maracay, Venezuela were evaluated during October 1989-September 1991 for vigour and production efficiency in order to determine their potential as slow growth rootstocks. Cultivars Divine, Tolbert, Tetenene Manzana and Julie had low vigour in vegetative growth and a poor fruit yield.
