Abstract : Panxi Hongmang was selected 10 years ago from open-pollinated seedlings of the cv. Luzonmang. Fruits mature in mid-July, are of medium size weighing 154-200 g, and have purple-red skin turning bright red after storage. The flesh is orange-yellow, fine and tender, with little fibre. The soluble solids content is 20-23% and the flavour is sweet and fragrant. Trees are very high-yielding.
