Abstract : During a survey of fruit-flies on mangoes carried out in the Philippines in 1973, traps baited with both methyl eugenol and cue-lure attracted (in addition to Dacus dorsalis Hend. and D. cucurbitae Coq.) numbers of D. umbrosus F. and a species of Chrysopa. Further studies showed that Chrysopa was attracted to the traps by methyl eugenol, but that D. umbrosus responded to both attractants.
