Nutritional studies of mango seedlings grown in sand culture.

Abstract : In a trial carried out in 1990-91 at Vellanikkara, mango seedlings in 30- × 10-cm containers of sand were supplied with Hoagland's solution minus N, P, K, Ca, Mg, S or Zn. Visual symptoms of deficiency (found in all cases except Ca and K deficiencies) are described. Their occurrence was associated with marked reduction in the foliar concentration of the element in question.
