Abstract : Fluctuations in the annual yields of 8 mango cultivars and 5 hybrids, growing in Karnataka, India, were investigated between 1983 and 1989. Cultivars/hybrids could be divided into high, medium and low yielders which were weakly, moderately, fairly or strongly biennial. Over the 7 years, Neeleshan (Neelum × Paneshan) produced the highest mean yield (averaged over the 7 years) and exhibited weak bienniality. No relationship was observed between yield potential and bienniality.
