Abstract : Extracts obtained in June-July from healthy young branches and stems of the resistant var. Jasmin markedly inhibited spore germination and mycelial growth in vitro of C. fimbriata. This activity decreased with time in branches detached and exposed to incubation for 96h, with or without the fungus. Similar extracts from the susceptible var. Haden showed little or no inhibitory effect. In Dec. and Jan. no differences were observed between extracts of the 2 vars.
