Performance of polyembryonic and monoembryonic mango cultivars for processing as nectar.

Abstract : In trials at raipur in Madhya Pradesh nectar (fruit juice) made from the polyembryonic mango cultivar Kurukkan was given a higher organoleptic score than that made from the commercial cultivars Alphonso, Baneshan, Dashehari and Totapari. Blending the juice of Kurukkan and Dashehari in different ratios considerably improved nectar quality with a 50:50 blend giving the best results.
