Abstract : Information is provided on the establishment and maintenance of fruit tree nurseries, including pest and disease control and standards and certification. Physiological aspects of sexual and asexual propagation are outlined. Propagation of mango, guava and pineapples is described, and notes are included on propagation of the following species native to the Cerrados region: Annona crassiflora, Caryocar brasiliense, Dypterix [Dipteryx] alata, Eugenia dysenterica, Hancornia speciosa, Hymenea [Hymenaea] stigonocarpa and Mauritia vinifera.
