Comparative evaluation of veneer and approach grafting in mango (Mangifera indica L.) propagation.

Abstract : A trial of 2 methods of propagation in 3 mango cultivars (Amrapali, Dasheri and Langra) was conducted at the Agricultural Research Institute, Patna (India) for 3 years (1992-94). Greater success in graft production was observed with approach grafting than with veneer grafting (90 and 80% survival, respectively), but no significant differences were found between the cultivars.
