Protection of some fruits against the climbing rat, Rattus rattus damage by using certain means in Beheira Governorate.

Abstract : Aluminium sheets were the most effective followed by sticky plastic sheets then Klerat blocks (0.005% brodifacoum) at protecting date, mango, apricot and guava trees from R. rattus damage. Sheets 16 or 20 cm in width were best. A total of 8 wax blocks containing Klerat/tree were better than 4 or 6 blocks at protecting crops from damage.
