Abstract : Two biological control agents of Aulacaspis tubercularis have been imported from Thailand for use in orchards in South Africa. These are a parasitoid, Aphytis sp., and a predatory beetle, Cybocephalus binotatus. In field studies in mango producing areas, percentage parasitism by Aphytis sp. at one location was >50%. C. binotatus was also found to prey on A. tubercularis and reproduce under the prevailing climatic conditions.
