Abstract : Hongmang 6 is a mutation derived from Zill, a Mangifera indica variety introduced from Florida, USA in 1984. Production of Hongmang 6 is very high, 7-year-old trees producing yields of 43.5 kg. Fruits are of good eating quality, are red to purplish-red in colour while flesh is dark yellow, and juicy with soluble solids content of 15.8%.
