Abstract : Rumang, a chance seedling of the cv. Xiangmang selected in 1974 in Miyi, gives high yields of oblate-spindle shaped, uniform fruits weighing 250 g on average. The skin is very thin and golden in colour. The flesh is light yellow, tender, not very fibrous and of a pleasant acid-sweet flavour. Rumang is early to midseason ripening and resistant to pests and diseases.
