Quality management systems for group marketing.

Abstract : Group marketing by suppliers of horticultural products is increasing in Australia. Joint marketing groups fall into two broad categories: suppliers deliver to a central packhouse where products are packed and marketed; suppliers pack their own product and a marketing coordinator markets the product. Case studies of group marketing are presented for lychee, citrus fruits and mangoes looking in particular at potential areas for improvement. Keys to successful quality management implementation are discussed. A model is developed for marketing group quality management.
