Abstract : In a field trial in Piracicaba, Sao Paulo, Brazil, the mango rootstock Espada was grafted with interstocks of 3 cultivars (Coquinho, Carlota or Imperial, 15 or 30 cm length) in November 1986 and these trees were grafted with Tommy Atkins as scion in November 1987. Data collected over 5 years (1990-1994) indicated that there was no difference between trees in vegetative growth, rootstock and interstock diameters, or height and diameter of the tree crown. Yield variations between treatments were not statistically significant.
