Abstract : This report is a record of the research work carried out on rice, peppers (varietal improvement, in vitro culture and genetic manipulation, manurial requirements, cultural practices, processing, pests and diseases), tree crops (cocoa, coffee, tea, cardamom and macadamia), palms (coconut, oil palm and rattan), fruit crops (citrus, banana, durian, mango, salak and wax apple), vegetables (common and indigenous vegetables, soilless culture and pests), in vitro culture, peat soils, sericulture, apiculture and food technology. The work of service sections (chemistry, soils, biometry and technology promotion) is also reviewed.
