Abstract : A total of 157 mango (Mangifera indica) fruits of varieties Gopalbhog, Himsagar, Khirsapat, Bombay, Langra and Surjapuri grown in Bangladesh were evaluated in 1996. Except for a few fruits of Surjapuri all varieties were considered delicious and pleasantly aromatic. Largest fruits of Bombay, Langra, Himsagar, Khirsapat, Gopalbhog and Surjapuri weighed 600, 560, 460, 460, 440 and 418 g, respectively. Bombay contained the highest quantity of pulp (470 g). Total soluble solids were highest in Gopalbhog (23.3%) and lowest in Bombay (20.4%).
