Abstract : The effects of Cultar [paclobutrazol] or potassium nitrate treatments on flowering and fruiting of mango cv. Graham were investigated at 2 sites in St. Lucia - George and Pius [for details of treatments see Tropical Fruits Newsletter (1996) No. 21, 6-8]. At George, flowering was assessed between the end of October and mid-March and fruit counts were carried out in mid-March and at the end of April. At Pius, flowering was assessed in mid-February and fruits counted in mid-February and at the end of April. Total fruit numbers were greatest with potassium nitrate treatment but the numbers of medium and large fruits at the end of April were much greater with Cultar treatment.
