Abstract : Data on flowering and fruiting of mango cultivars Graham (2 sites) and Julie (one site), in response to treatment with Cultar [paclobutrazol] or potash (potassium nitrate) [for details of treatments see Tropical Fruits Newsletter (1996) No. 21, 6-8] are presented. For cv. Julie, Cultar significantly increased percentage flowering and the number of large fruits (counted at the end of April) compared with untreated controls. For cv. Graham, little success was achieved in obtaining out-of-season fruiting.
