Abstract : Four rugaspidiotine-patterned diaspidid genera are dealt with in 4 parts. They include Mangaspis bangalorensis Takagi and Kondo, gen. et sp. nov., which is described from specimens occurring on the twigs of mango (Mangifera indica) in Karnataka, India. It usually occurs beneath leaf buds, and, thus, it may afford another example of the emergence of the rugaspidiotine pattern in a habitat where the adult female is impeded in making regular movements during the formation of the test.
