Abstract : Mature mango trees, cvs Parvin and Kent, were fertilized with N and K, each at 2 levels for 4 years. Yields of both cvs in the fourth year, as well as the cumulative 4-year yields, were increased by the higher N rate (1.8-2.4 lb/tree/year); the higher K rate (2.4-3.0 lb/tree/year) evoked a similar response with Parvin, but Kent yields were not affected. The incidence of pre-harvest flesh breakdown was not affected by any of the treatments, the average incidence for the 2 cvs amounting to 14 and 9%, respectively. Leaf analysis data are also presented.
