Mango production: guideline costs and estimated income.

Abstract : The article presents data from the Directorate of Agricultural Economics, Transvaal Region and the South African Mango Growers Association on mango production in South Africa. Information is given in tabulated form on planting costs, production costs with detailed spraying costs, and income and price structuring of mangoes from harvest. Despite drought conditions in the first three seasons of the 1990s, the mango industry in South Africa has a very high growth potential.
