Abstract : In order to induce off-season flowering, single and multiple foliar applications of paclobutrazol at 1000 and 2000 ppm were supplied to 3-year-old mango cv. Nam Dok Mai trees in Thailand, in June 1987. Flowering was initiated 29-41 days earlier in the treated trees than in the controls. The number of flowering shoots of paclobutrazol-treated trees was twice that of the controls. Two applications of either 1000 or 2000 ppm paclobutrazol resulted in the largest number of flowering panicles and the most uniform flowering.
