Abstract : The developmental changes in mineral element concentration in mango cv. Chiin Hwang in Chi-Yi, Taiwan, were investigated. Macro- and micronutrient concentrations of the mesocarp decreased during the period of rapid fruit growth, especially Ca, Fe and Mn. The decline reached >80% at 152 days after full bloom. N, P, K, Cu, Zn and B concentrations increased towards the inner mesocarp with the highest concentrations at the distal end of the mesocarp. Ca concentration showed a reverse trend with its lowest level at the distal end.
