Effect of some nutrients on productivity of Alphonso mangoes (Mangifera indica, L.).

Abstract : The effect of single or combined foliar application of Zn, S and Mg (each at 0.4%) on yield and quality of Alphonso mangoes (on Balady rootstocks) was studied during 1995-96 in Egypt. Application of these nutrients singly or in combination was very effective in improving the yield as well as physical and chemical properties of fruits. The most striking influence was attributed to using the 3 nutrients together. The best results with regard to yield and fruit quality were obtained when mangoes received 3 sprays of a mixture containing Zn, S and Mg.
