Abstract : The stem bark extract of M. indica (collected from Nigeria in 1996) was evaluated for activity against Plasmodium yoelii nigeriensis and for antipyretic activity in mice. The extract exhibited a schizontocidal effect (in blood) during early infection, and also demonstrated repository activity. The extract exhibited antipyretic activity in mice with yeast-induced pyrexia.
