Response of mango varieties to epicotyl grafting on a commercial scale.

Abstract : A study was undertaken in India to evaluate the response of 14 mango cultivars to the epicotyl grafting method of propagation. An average survival of 62.98% was noticed 6 months after grafting. Great variation existed in the response of different cultivars to this method of grafting. The best response was noticed in Kalapady (82.1% survival). Mulgoa exhibited the lowest survival (38%).
