Abstract : Factors affecting the market quality of avocados, litchis, bananas, mangoes and pawpaws are discussed, with notes on the optimum stage of fruit ripeness at harvest, post-harvest fungicide treatment, packaging, optimum storage temperatures and artificial ripening treatments.
