Abstract : The effect of warm water (46.1°C) on the survival of eggs , 1st- and 2nd-instar larvae of Ceratitis capitata, C. rosa and C. cosyra in 5 mango cultivars (Tommy Atkins, Sensation, Keitt, Kent and Zill) was investigated in South Africa. Fruits were submerged for 60 minutes. Only 1st- and 2nd-instar larvae of C. cosyra survived, due to their location (close to the stone).
