Abstract : Selected in 1965 as a seedling from the open pollination of Binggu Luzon, Longyan Xiangmang produces elliptical fruits with a slightly curved peak, of good eating quality, weighing an average of 245 g, with a smooth greenish-yellow skin. The flesh is orange-yellow, fine and tender with few fibres and a soluble solids content of 17-20%. The flavour is acid-sweet with a longan [Dimocarpus longan]-like aroma. Trees are highly adaptable and productive.
