Abstract : Data on floral biology, pollination and fruit setting are tabulated for the early maturing mango varieties Bombai and Zardalu and the medium maturing varieties Dashehari and Langra, grown in an orchard at Ranchi. The sex ratio (male:hermaphrodite) of the 4 varieties averaged 2.1:1, 2.3:1, 2.48:1 and 1.64:1, respectively. Percentage fruit set and average number of days from flowering to maturity were higher in the medium maturing varieties.
