Abstract : Pollen grains of 10 cultivars of M. indica were examined by light microscopy and scanning electron microscopy. Pollen shapes and exine sculptures differed among cultivars, and can therefore be used to differentiate various cultivars. Sannianmang, Yuanjian, Xiangya, Hubaoya, Hongxiangy, Maqiesu, Yexiangmang, Daqingpi and Huangpi-datoumang were similar in exine sculpture, indicating their close relationship. Sankelimang had a different exine sculpture and that of Huongguang No.6 was intermediary between Sankelimang and the other 8 cultivars.
