Abstract : Submitted for the registration of plant variety rights in Australia and derived as a chance open-pollinated seedling from an unknown parent, this mango (Mangifera indica) cultivar was evaluated together with Kensington Pride in trials conducted at Humpty Doo, Northern Territory. Data are tabulated on morphological traits and quality aspects of the fruit. Fruits of Celebration have glossy skins with predominant brilliant red blush (RHS 45A) and yellow background. Incidence of postharvest disorders is negligible, and quality attributes are generally good and superior to those of Tommy Atkins.
