Performance of North-Indian mango (Mangifera indica. L.) cultivars under semi-arid region of western Maharashtra.

Abstract : Some 22 north Indian mango varieties along with two commercial varieties (Alphanso and Kesar) were studied for yield and physico-chemical characters at Rahuri during 1986-94. Langra, Dashehari, Salem and Safed Malihabad proved were found suitable for commercial plantation in the semi-arid region of Maharashtra. Langra and Deshehari gave the highest yield and best physico-chemical composition.
