Abstract : A survey was conducted in Maharashtra, India, of the fertility status of the mango growing soils. The diagnostic norms were developed using Diagnosis and Recommendation Integrated System. The optimum pH ranged from 4.3 to 5.8, available N from 58 to 134 mg/kg, P 10 to 15 mg/kg, K 122 to 426 mg/kg, Ca 249 to 551 mg/kg, Mg 125 to 204 mg/kg and S 67 to 177 mg/kg. The DTPA extractable optimum Fe ranged from 51 to 63 mg/kg, Mn 8 to 51 mg/kg, Zn 2.6 to 3.5 mg/kg and Cu 0.24 to 7.8 mg/kg. A yield of 5.3 to 7.4 t/ha was recorded in the optimum range of nutrients for mango grown in this region.
