Abstract : During 19-22 January 1997, frost occurred repeatedly in China with a minimum temperature of -4°C. Many mango seedlings died, and the autumn shoots of young trees were damaged. KH2PO4 (0.3%) solution was sprayed on lightly damaged trees to promote normal flowering. Treated trees exhibited more flowering (22.2%) and earlier flowering (by 7-10 days) than control trees.
