Abstract : Current production levels and techniques for mangoes in Peru, as well as the principal pests, are discussed. Mangoes have contributed more than any other fruit crop to exports of horticultural products in Peru and in 1996 generated $11 million FOB. The areas with greatest development of mangoes were Piura and Lambayeque, representing 64.3% of the total harvested area of mango in Peru.
