Abstract : During 1995 and 1996, the effect of spraying paclobutrazol on panicles of 6 mango cultivars (Hindy Bissinara, Alphonso, Awase, Zebda, Dabsha and Taimour) on yield and quality of fruits was investigated in Minia governorate, Egypt. One spray of 0, 125 or 250 ppm paclobutrazol was applied at full bloom. Spraying panicles with 125 or 250 ppm paclobutrazol improved yield as well as the chemical properties of the fruits in all the cultivars. There were no significant differences in response to these 2 paclobutrazol rates.
