Abstract : Two mature, healthy Mulgoa mango trees and one of the cv. Banganapalli, characterized by poor and erratic cropping, were drastically pruned by the removal of large branches to open out the trees and the thinning of terminal shoots. A year later the shoot thinning was repeated. After this very high yields of excellent quality were obtained. An interesting feature was the production of fruit on old branches, as well as on shoots.
