Abstract : Pollination and compatibility were investigated in 4 mango cultivars (Bombai, Zardalu, Deshehari and Langra). The highest number of fertile pollen grains (6370) was produced by Zardalu. Self pollination induced low percentage fruit set (29% in Zardalu to 45% in Bombai), and cross pollination also induced low percentage fruit set (10-45%), with 45% fruit set observed when Bombai was pollinated with Langra pollen.
