Relative efficiency of different methods of propagation influencing the growth of mango (Mangifera indica L.).

Abstract : A 5-year comparative study is reported on the growth of Dashehari mango plants propagated by inarching, budding, veneer grafting and marcotting. Data are tabulated on plant height, average spread, stock thickness and scion thickness. Marcotting was significantly inferior to the other methods; budding gave the best final results but with this method stock thickness was inferior to inarching.
